Francofest presents Annie Briard at the Nocturne Festival

Event open to all – no French needed

Each year, Francofest presents a special project as part of Nocturne: Art at Night. These projects — each one unique — offer a glimpse of Francofest, which takes place just a few days later. From digital installations to interactive magic shows, Francofest celebrates the beauty and diversity of artistic expression in French.

This year, Francofest is proud to be a Spotlight Partner of the Nocturne festival. For the occasion, Montréal-based artist Annie Briard will present Paysages parlés, a video installation projected onto the archway at Grand Parade.

Paysages parlés is a participatory laboratory combining projected landscapes with geometric shadows. Briard creates visual connections between natural environments across the country to reflect on community and solidarity in the face of climate change. Her works deconstruct and reimagine landscapes, making them feel both surreal and possible.

Don’t miss this unique outdoor experience and a creative preview of Francofest, presented as part of Nocturne.

📅 Saturday, October 18
🕕 6 p.m. to midnight
